As usual the meeting of the FA happened in a good atmosphere with about
35 delegates from all around the country. The meeting took place in the
squat "Electric Mary" in the "holy city" of Czestochowa.
Among the topics discussed were:
- Upcoming visit of Putin in Auschwitz and Krakow in January (anniversary
of liberation of the camp by the Red Army). Actions are planned.
- Meeting of the COuncil Of Europe in Warsaw in May and activities
against it
- Actions against rightist organisations which became more active recently
(a couple of more or less successful attempts to break up gay rights
marches in Poznan and Krakow)
- Discussion about the newly formed tade-union "Workers Initiative" which
uses the same name as the anarcho-syndicalist organisation of the same
name, but is not an anarcho-syndicalist union. There was some discussion
over the future of this union. Some people want to give it a more
anarchist direction, some people think it needs to find its own way by
itself. Some people didn't think there is a need for an anarcho
-syndicalist union and were happy with traditional trade-union type of
activity.
- Actions to propagate anarchism among youth and maintain local contact
groups.
- Discussion about the "Anarchist Bus" through Eastern Poland, Belarus,
Ukraine and Russia in summer next year. A similar bus is to go through
the Balkans.
- Discussion about a monthly publication to fill the void left by the
(temporary?) demise of Mac Pariadka.
- Discussion about support actions from Tomasz WIlkoszewski. Although
there is little chance to get him out of prison soon there is some
things that need to be done: sending literature regular visits, etc...
Info about his case should be available by searching the alter-ee site.
